Cottage Garden

Soft billowing plants spill over the stone and pebble paths that weave through this front garden. Hollyhocks self-seed in the gravel; lavender, thyme and roses scent the entrance; and irises bring splashes of colour to complement the front door. A little bit of wildness comes to town.

St. Albans New-build

This design brings a sense of mystery and journey through a garden that was formerly a blank slate.
Spaced stepping stones lead to raised oak sleeper beds and a secluded pebbled area.  A bench catches the evening sun, sheltered by bamboos and Japanese maples.

St. Albans 3

The sunny front garden in this RIBA award winning house is inspired by Italian courtyards.  Cor-ten steel edging and pebbles create a sense of  geometry around the focal point of a Cercis siliquastrum (Judas tree).  Yew hedging and an Iroko screen enclose the garden, creating a private space to be enjoyed every day of the year.
