RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2024 – SGD Stand

I was delighted to be asked to design The Society of Garden Designers stand for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2024.

I designed the 6m x 3m space as a courtyard garden to give visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in an English country garden setting.  I wanted to create a piece of garden theatre with a design that celebrates beautiful planting and creates a welcoming atmosphere.

Warm limestone paving, in a herringbone layout, brings a timeless feel to the courtyard. Aged terracotta pots are filled with Roses, Jasmine, Iris, Nepetas and Erigeron amongst others, all in shades of pink, purple, blue and white. Multi-stem trees are planted in large pots to provide scale to the courtyard. These provide the foil to blend the stand with the backdrop image. The stand features products and services from the Society’s Affiliated Business Partners, including plants, garden furniture, paving and pots. Cushions are supplied by Liberty Fabrics.
