Hampstead Garden with thumbs
The owners of this exclusive residence wanted instant impact in their 2.5 acre garden. Topiaried trees provide drama and evergreen structure. Sweeping banks of box hedging flow across the landscape providing shape and direction. The concrete walls of the 50 metre drive were cloaked in scented climbers, and large trees introduced for privacy screening. An existing stone water feature is being transformed into a rock garden using large English granite boulders. Each piece was hand selected from a Cornish quarry and arranged to produce an impressive flight of handsome stone steps. A roof garden was created for entertaining, with classic box hedging in planters.
