Rosemary Coldstream for The British Plant Nursery GuideWe were delighted to be selected as the designer for the British Plant Nursery Guide trade stand at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.   The Jubilee themed  garden  featured the BPNG’s trademark Morris Minor set in in a lush 1950’s picnic scene.

The terrible spring weather posed severe challenges for all the Chelsea Garden Designers this year, but thanks to a huge team effort and the high quality plants donated by the nurseries in the Guide, we finally triumphed over the scorching heat and torrential downpours.

The Modern Landscape Company did an excellent job of building the garden helped by the great planting team of  Natalie, Julia and Anthony.

After an exhausting but highly enjoyable two weeks, the hard work was rewarded with a Certificate of Merit from the RHS Chelsea judges.  The  garden was greatly enjoyed by the visitors to the show and succeeded in attracting great interest in the important work of the British Plant Nursery Guide.  We are already looking forward to returning to Chelsea next year in a competition garden  category.
