A granite terrace with limestone detailing leads to the steps into the garden. This site slopes upwards from the house, so planting has been kept low to open up a sense of space.
The length of the garden is divided by a cedar wall with a window, which offers views of a stunning Japanese maple which turns fiery red in autumn – and also conceals the side path. Stepping stones lead across the lawn to a pebbled courtyard and a contemporary Rooms Outdoor studio. Planting is soft and airy with splashes of colour.
